Shagpoke (Kay)

My professional costuming career began with a university costuming program for film and theatre. After a few years in the film industry I realised that it was not for me and in 2013 I began Shagpoke Studios.
 

Shagpoke is a colloquial term for a Great Blue Heron where I grew up in small town BC. Since starting my business I've operated out of Vancouver BC, The UK, Fraser Valley BC, Nova Scotia, and now New Brunswick! 

I love the freedom and creativity that this career brings. It is truly amazing to bring these characters to life, and I am so thankful for these past twelve years, the friends I've made, and the places I've travelled.
